Thought id do a little brag, and say that on Google under Norfolk Bookkeeping (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=norfolk+bookkeeping&btnG=Google+Search&meta=), i rank 1st 2nd 3rd and 5th on one page.:)

Hows that for good going

Since posting that, my ranking has fallen abit, but as you said it does change quite regularly, but i think it was also to do with the fact that i wasnt getting enough out there as this forum was down for a while, but hopefully that should all change now

As many ofwe are probably already aware, Google ranks a page according to the number and quality of links leading to that page. For example, if our page has 100 quality links leading to it, it will rank higher than another page that has only 20 links pointing at it. Quality links come from pages that are themselves "important" (Google's own terminology).

Having a website that rank well in the Google search engine is a great opportunity to be visited by target visitors. This means more traffic, more customers, more income.
I suggest that you maintain what you have done to your website to have that ranking. Be well updated because Google updates it's algorithm from time to time which makes ranking change. :)

That would be a great job for the keywords, but once you are on the first page you have to keep maintaining it monthly to keep them there. There are always competitors wanting to take the position of first page or top five, etc.
