That’s why ‘101 Ways to Market Your Business’ by Andrew Griffiths should
be an important edition to any entrepreneur’s library.
Written in a clear, uncomplicated style, the book provides you with 121
ideas (yes, not 101! One of the ideas is always to add value and give a
little extra so Griffiths does follow his own advice!). Each suggestion is
easy to implement and the vast majority are cheap to bring to life.
A useful section for first time entrepreneur is an overview on the basics
of marketing, asking questions such as ’how much money do you need to spend
on marketing?’ and ’what is market research and do you need it?”
Once you get into the main purpose of the book you are given short and
concise ideas on how to make your business stand out from the crowd: tips on
writing press releases; why catering for the kids will make parents visit
you more; get testimonials from happy customers.
Each idea is only a page or two long so if you are stuck for inspiration
it’s easy to pick up and quickly pull out an idea.
One criticism though—the book doesn’t tackle the web, so if you’re
looking for hi-tech ideas, this isn’t for you.
In summary, a great book to kick start your brain!
